Standards Contact Point
Our main mission is to inform and educate industry from ceramic and glass sectors about standards to help their understanding and good use. This service is primarily dedicated to SMEs.
To achieve this objective, a programme of activities built around three axes is set up:
- To collect, manage and distribute information
- Technical and scientific support for specific consultations
- To represent and protect the interests of industry involved in technical commissions.
Historic
The standards contact point was created in September 1998 on the initiative of the CRIBC as part of a broader agenda of promotion and awareness of the standardization Division competitiveness of the Public Federal economy, SMEs, Middle Classes and energy Service.
This action aims in particular the SMEs in the sector in order to balance their competitive disadvantage compared to the large multinational groups whose structure and resources allow regular monitoring of the standards and assessment of the impact of current developments.
