Expert appraisals on refractories

In the refractory area, an INISMa-CRIBC expert appraisal covers the entire life cycle. It extends from knowledge of raw materials to recycling after use. It embraces most applications in the main areas of use: steel making, glass making, cement manufacture etc

The different actions performed by the Institute involve:

• production support: choice of raw materials, development and improvement of compositions, determination of the influence of manufacturing conditions.
• use: choice of materials, corresponding behavioural analysis, research into causes of malfunctioning.
• recycling: research into means of evaluation

With the help of the “Testing” department, the “Expertise appraisals” unit can also assist industrial companies to install acceptance controls (manufacturers) or acceptance controls (users).
