Batch control – hollow glass

INISMa-CRIBC carries out, on demand, production batch control on the basis of the product specification. The quantities sampled are as mentioned in the specification or calculated in accordance with standard ISO 2859-1. Controls are most often carried out on the production site for practical reasons, but are possible in the laboratory at Mons.

For bottles, control involves the following criteria:

• Visual defects
• Dimensions
• Technical specifications (internal pressure, axial load, impact, thermal shock, residual stresses, surface treatment etc)
• Tint, chemical resistance etc (optional)

In special cases, control can be limited to a particular criterion.
